Find The Time

Find the time . . . .

*find the time*
The time to read.
to smell the flowers,
to paint your dreams,
to have coffee with a friend,
to learn a new craft,
to write a letter,
to bake a surprise cake,
to go somewhere special,
to REALLY be with the person you
love,
or even to do nothing for a
while...
(posted by Tina of Cherry Hill Cottage)
The clock my grandfather brought from Germany.
I wind it every week and enjoy the beautiful chimes.
Another clock my grandfather brought with him from Germany.
I listened to it's chimes growing-up.
My mother always wanted a tall
grandfather's clock.
I bought this one for her as a surprise
 birthday present years ago.
She loved the sound of the chimes on
the quarters, half hour and on the hour.
She enjoyed it for years.
I wind them weekly and
enjoy them all as part of
the sounds of my house.

Enjoy Every Minute

  2. I love all your German and the one you gave to your mom, what a generous daughter!! I have one for the wall, very much like yours, it's vintage, made in NYC, it was my fil's, he gave it to my hubby and I love the chimes as my gradfather had one and it reminds me when I was a little girl. Lots of hugs. FABBY

  6. Your collection is marvelous. I love the meaning attached to the clocks you've shown us, and the opening quote is excellent.

A wonderful childhood memory is that of the chiming mantel clock in my grandparents house. I have no idea what happened to it, so several years ago I bought one for our home, and I absolutely *love* the soothing sound of it.

  8. Beautiful clocks! I keep telling myself to make the time to do all these things-but they never seem to get done-isn't that terrible.

  9. Your clocks are all gorgeous. I love them under a cloche too. Never thought of that idea. I also couldn't help but notice your beautiful vignette of photos on the end table. So pretty. Everything is so well done and accessorized. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

  10. Your clocks are beautiful and what memories they recall. We brought back four clocks from Germany when we lived there. Nice post and nice thoughts about finding time to enjoy the important things in life.
