I used some of my pinecones as holders.
The gold tablerunner has removable tassles.
I think that's a great idea.
I found these Fall plate chargers at Walmart.
They have a raised leaf and acorn pattern around the edge.
They were $2.99. I bought 2 for now.
I hope they'll go on sale later.
My DIY fall centerpiece

I found this very large antique wooden bowl
in Ohio 37 years ago.
I filled it with more of my pinecones.
This was featured at Country Living Magazine.
The pillar candle is sitting on acorns gathered
in Vicky and Mike's yard in New Jersey.
All inside a glass hurricane.
Longaberger plates in buttercup yellow.
Very simple.
It's nice to light candles now that it's getting
darker a little earlier each day.
Almost time for dinner.
The setting sun.
Cheers!

Beautiful, Rita! I love all the pinecones! They really are a wonderful part of fall and winter decorating, and you've used them in such a great way here. I love the idea of the removable tassel on the runner!!! That's a great idea! I may have to use my little rudimentary sewing skills (me...sewing...skills...those words just don't go together!) to jazz some things up for the holidays. Have a wonderful weekend, Miss Rita!

ReplyDeleteBesides being decorative for creating layers in a tablescape..is there a real funtional use for a charger and can they be placed in a dishwasher or need to be handwashed?
