Inspiration struck this morning and I quickly
put together this winter themed tablescape
for our breakfast table.
Luckily I still hadn't completely packed up
the remaining Christmas decorations on
the living room coffee table or the
dining room buffet.
Procrastination sometimes pays off!
I did this while Larry was shaving.
I then asked him:
"You know how the breakfast
table has been bugging me since I
removed the Christmas tablescape?"
He replied:
"I did not know that."
Well anyway, that has been solved and
we can now get on with our lives.
I used the snowflake tablerunner with
the 'bling' from the DR buffet.
I used the silver trees from the
LR coffee table for the sparkle.
I had a forest of silver and crystal.
All after Christmas sales from years ago.
I kept the table colors all in silver, crystal,
and shades of white.
To bobeche or not to bobeche?
I love these crystal trees. They are
at least 40 years old.
I had two choices for placemats.
These silver and gold confetti ones
look very New Year's celebration.
Or I can use these silver round ones.
I have these frosted glass chargers with
snowflake design. How perfect!
My basic Ivory Longaberger pottery.
A little glass salad/dessert plate to add more
layers and sparkle.
Silver snowflake napkin rings and ivory lace
trimmed napkins. I found those napkins at a
thrift store for 25¢ each still with their tags.
Complete place setting using glitter placemats.
Complete place setting using round silver placemats.
I love how the snowflake napkin rings
coordinate with the snowflake glass
chargers. Lots of snowflakes here.
It's all working out using things I have.
Didn't realize I had so many snowflake design
items until I pulled them all together.
I went with the silver placemats.
Table complete in record time.
Luckily the snowflake glasses I used for
Christmas were just stored in the family
room cabinets. I grabbed a couple.
The glass snowball votives were handy too.
My little bit of winter in
south Florida.
We had a little 'cool' spell here too.
This is as close as we'll get to
* * * * snowflakes * * * *
Cheers!

Good choice on the silver placemats. I always decorate with snowmen after Christmas thru March, always looks great when we get snow. You had a little cool? We had -7 here in WNC this last week! Record setting cold! Brrr!
