No Beach~No Problem Tablescape

You don't need to be near a beach to get a beachy look.
You can 'doggie-bag' the clam shells from
your last dinner out. I take them home
and give them a good cleaning.
I can put them in one of my
apothecary jars on top of beach sand.
No beach sand? No problem.
Here I'm using cream of wheat cereal.
Looks just like the beach. I recycled a
a box that was past it's expiration date.
I kept everything neutral and used things
I've used before.
Colors for the beachy sofa table:
cream & wheat

Cheers!

  3. I am currently on a blog break but browsing around. I came across your blog and love it! If you'd like some real beach sand I'd be happy to send you some. You did an awesome job recreating the look of beach sand, I never would have thought of something like that!

  4. Clever to keep your shells! I live about a mile from the beach, but we don't get nice shells here. None that roll in in one piece anyway!
I thought that was real sand, too:)
