Kim's Kitchen

The breakfast area....before.
A little change with the addition of a valance.
Kim has had the valance for years. We installed it using a closet dowel and end brackets.
I put a little lighted tree in the corner.

A framed Hibel.
I used a similar rock backsplash for our place in North Carolina.
Bar counter.
Little kitchen tree.

Cheers!

A Visit to Kim's- The Christmas Table

Our first visit is Frisco,Texas with our daughter Kim and her family. Her breakfast table is all set for our dinner....hmmmm...it looks similar to mine. I wonder where she gets it?
Spode Christmas Tree dishes on gold chargers. Green pleated placemats and cranberry red Ralph Lauren napkins.
A Longaberger holly/stripe reversible table runner.
I flipped it the next day and used a basket of poinsettias as the centerpiece. Because we used the holly pie dishes at dinner last night.
We both also have a set of these Christmas tree napkin rings.
 Santa salt and pepper set.
Ornament painted wine glasses. We both have a set.
I like how each glass has a different ornament painted on it.
It helps you keep track of your wine.
Stripped runner with poinsettias, or...
the holly pattern and two tiered pie server in the breakfast area.
We use it both ways.
Santa

Cheers Y'all!

The Christmas Van

We've packed our sleigh van for a big road trip to visit family for Christmas. Our first stop is Texas, then
on to Colorado.
Of course we have a wreath on the grill.
With a red bow.
We strung Christmas lights inside.
Added a red suede down throw.
Lucy is in her favorite spot on the dashboard with a Christmas baby afghan.
I found it in a NC thrift store. It's handmade for $1!
Lucky and Princess (see tail) get a snowman blanket on their pillow between our front seats.
I added some real evergreens in a basket with a red bow. It makes the van smell like Christmas.
A red-lined basket filled with microwave popcorn, hot chocolate and a tin filled with Christmas cookies.
Christmas mugs for coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Angel soap dispenser, and all my Christmas CDs keep the Christmas spirit alive while we're traveling.
Cheers!

Christmas Cabana Bath

If you have a pool in Florida there's always a bathroom that you can access from the outside. It's the cabana bathroom. Sounds very tropical. Ours gets a Christmas makeover with lots of Santas.
We removed the shower doors from the never-used shower and added a vintage dresser with mirror. It was painted white with blue knobs. I found it on Craigslist for $40. It gives me lots of extra storage.  I added blue and white Laura Ashley drapery panels and valances.
A collection of Santas
Another antique school desk, Longaberger baskets, and Christmas towels.
Green branches and a few ornaments.
An antique shelf hangs below an an old sash window painted with a beach scene.
An antique medicine cabinet, fabric hearts and a Santa on a sleigh.
Lots of Christmas towels.
Christmas lotion dispenser, soap dish, cup and toothbrush holder with more greens and ornaments.
Small art print and holly votive.
This was before we removed the shower doors.
Every room gets a little Christmas!
Cheers!

Blue Christmas In The Guest Room

The blue and yellow guest room gets a few snowflakes and snowmen accents for Christmas.
Blue and white snowflake hooked rug.
Blue and white snowman felt pillow.
Snowman needlepoint pillow.
Caroling Snowmen needlepoint pillow.
We made this sign a few years ago. After painting it, we drilled holes and inserted clear lights for the snowflakes.
Pretty at night!
Round bedside table gets a glittery blue table topper, a snowman mug with warming stand, snowman ceramic box, and blue votive holder. Crystal carafe and glass are for water.
The rattan tray table with snowman mug and placemat.
A vintage yellow bed tray holds snowman mugs, plate and painted wooden tray for...

a before bed snack or ...
morning coffee or hot cocoa and Christmas cookies.
Dresser top. Found another Christmas frame at a thrift store to add to my collection. I'll use it to frame one of our cards from Christmases past.
Snowman needlepoint stocking, Snowman stocking hanger, plate, candle shade and shopping bag.
Even a snowman on the wreath hanging on the closet door.
The Jack-and-Jill bath had a few blue and white Christmas accents, with towels and a Santa glass topper on the cotton ball jar.

Ready for visiting snowmen guests.

Cheers!
