I autumn-ized the kitchen with fall color.
I made Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub.
Changed the mug shots at the coffee station
and made puffins.
Replaced the garbage disposal and watched
Doris Day in 'Please Don't Eat The Daisies'.
That lead to organizing the space under
the kitchen sink.
I made an A-U-T-U-M-N banner.
Got out my collection of thrifted afghans.
Made a wreath with used coffee filters.
Added a little fall to the breakfast table.
Printed placecards and used
pinecones for holders.
Dreamed of white pumpkins.
Came to terms with my RDS.
Used my long-blooming orchid on my
living room coffee table vignette.
I gathered branches from the yard and
added them to the silver and crystal
on the cobblers bench.
We hit the road for North Carolina
to see the leaves and spend time at our
I made this sign for to take along

ReplyDeleteRita May,
ReplyDeleteFun catching up on your October posts, lovely!
It's my favorite month, love everything about it! The only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't last long enough! I can just imagine how beautiful it is in the mountains of NC this time of year! Went thru Ashville in Sept on my way to and from Raleigh to visit my son in the Air Force before he left for Afganistan and stopped at the Biltmore exit on my way back for a little detour. It was a gorgeous day and I really enjoyed it. Years ago while living in Charlotte, toured the BH in Nov. Was spectacular!

ReplyDeleteLOVE your fall decorations! I am worn out just reading what you've been up to. I really like the eclectic mix of the orchid and pinecones! I meant to gather up some branches, but now I would have to put on snow boots first! Thanks so much for sharing your October with us. I love your furry children, too.
