St. Patrick's Day Wreath

It only took 5 minutes to add a little
L-U-C-K-Y banner
to the wreath on my front door. I'm using
this basic wreath for March. It's an old
grapevine wreath with a garland of white silk
roses attached. Now it has a new look for
St. Patrick's Day.
I wanted small letters so I just copied the
page and printed out all the letters.
I tied on a string and hung the letters using
clothespins. I can use this bunting idea for
a few more wreath changes for Spring.

Just copy the image to a blank email
(or Word document) and print out
all the letters on one page.
I found this easy St. Patrick's printable
You can download her's or do what I did.
Cheers!

O'May Days Sandwich

Here's a St. Patricks's Day sandwich
we are having for lunch at the O'May's
A grilled cheese sandwich made with
homemade Irish soda bread,
white cheddar cheese and freshly
made pesto...for that little touch of green!
Here's Lucy O'May ready for her lunch.
I found these two green bowls on my last
thrift store visit and thought the'd be
perfect little food and water bowls
for Lucy's March doggie-tablescape.
Cheers! and
Happy St.Patrick's Day!

A Little LUCK

Another horseshoe project!
A little LUCK sign.
I used two horseshoes about the same size.
Before and after cleaning.
The left one has been cleaned and
 rubbed with mineral oil.
 I get 2 letters with these: a U and a C.
Found this piece of wood in the garage and
rubbed it down with mineral oil.
It gives it just enough of a finish and
 conditions the wood.
I chose a font to go with the horseshoes.
 Lucida Handwriting in size 375.
I printed the letters using the outline setting.
I used carbon paper to traced the outline.
I filled it in with a black Sharpie.
We attached another horseshoe to
the back for hanging. Not a lot of work or
skill required and no cost...lucky me!

Cheers!

March Review

Last month I went green.....
decoratively speaking.
Starting with March mug shots at the
coffee station
and an Irish blessing printable.
A change of dishes and paper in the
March kitchen cabinet.
More green on the sofa table vignette.
 Kitchen counter and a
Happy St. Patrick's Day sign.
I shared a few of my Rules For Life.
I shared my idea of a perfect dinner.
The cornice shelf in the breakfast area.
Spring blue and yellow in the dining room.
I put oyster shells in the apothecary jar
 on the ever-changing counter tray.
Easter arrived early this year so I did an
end of the month dish change in the cabinet.
Lastly the sofa table was given it's
Spring look with lots of tea pots.

Tray Vignette for March

I always make a few holiday changes to the
tray on the corner of my breakfast counter.
I filled the apothecary with oyster shells.
First we ate the oysters, then we brought
them home and scrubbed them clean.
My kind of recycling!
 I added a Longaberger St. Patrick's Day
garter around the neck of the jar.
A Lucky Lottery Bear, green candles and
green candy dish filled with chocolate
covered mint kisses are added.
A Longaberger Lucky Charm Basket
A green M monogrammed hankie.
All ready to cook the corned beef and
cabbage dinner this Saturday
for my family. We'll have 13.....
(click HERE for my mustard-parsley sauce)
Lucky 13!

March Green Kitchen

The counter under the dish cabinet
gets it's sign for the month of March.
The small canister is filled with dog cookies.
A large green wine bottle is filled with
a small string of little white lights.
Larry drilled a hole near the bottom
and I threaded the lights inside.
It makes a nice night light.
I've filled two green wine bottles with vinegar
and oil then added pour spouts.
They are gathered in the white wood caddy.
Extra olive oils are in the light
green jug and the white bottle.
Green peas, green tea and garlic in Ball jars.
Green bunny tea pot and tea cup on matching platter.
I used two Portmeirion plates on the
Longaberger wrought iron pie holder.
I filled a Portmeirion soap dispenser with
green dish soap and filled an old blue Ball jar
with dishwasher packets. A sprig of
rosemary is in a small jelly jar. All sit
on a small oval platter next to the sink.
Green and white kitchen towels and
thrifted crocheted pot holders hang
on towel bar at the end of the island.
A green and tan plaid rag rug
 was only $3 at BBB.
Dog model: Lucky...
how appropriate!

Cheers!
