DIY ~ THANKFUL Scrabble Blocks

Finding a good Scrabble font with the number
value included took the longest. I knew there
would be one out "there". I searched Google,
and Pinterest, and finally found a winner.
I found the printable letters at
I printed them at 50% size for my project.
Larry cut the blocks from a 1" thick piece
of scrap wood to about 3-1/2 x 4-1/2.
I sanded them and slightly rounded the
corners like the real Scrabble pieces.
I used a piece of carbon paper to trace the
letters onto the wood.
Fill in with a Sharpie. This is my go-to method
 for all my sign projects.
To finish them off with a little sheen I will give
them a couple of coats of Mod Podge.
For now they are sitting on the ledge
of my cupboard.
I can add extra letters for different seasons.

Printable Chalkboard Letters Harvest Banner

My fall sofa table vignette got a small
Harvest bunting to finish it off.
It was easy to make; just a little
printing and cutting.
I found the chalkboard alphabet letters at
Shanty 2 Chic HERE.
Or just click on the letters below to download
only the letters you need for your banner.
I wanted a small banner so I printed the
letters at 25%. I reused the card stock paper
by turning and reinserting it into the printer.
To help them stand out more I cut orange
polkadot craft paper that's folded and
layered under the letters. Then both are
folded over kitchen string. A dab of glue
at the pointy end holds it all in place.
I also cut orange plastic straws and used
them as spacers yo give it more color.
You can adjust the size on your printer

Happy Fall!

St. Patrick's Day Wreath

It only took 5 minutes to add a little
L-U-C-K-Y banner
to the wreath on my front door. I'm using
this basic wreath for March. It's an old
grapevine wreath with a garland of white silk
roses attached. Now it has a new look for
St. Patrick's Day.
I wanted small letters so I just copied the
page and printed out all the letters.
I tied on a string and hung the letters using
clothespins. I can use this bunting idea for
a few more wreath changes for Spring.

Just copy the image to a blank email
(or Word document) and print out
all the letters on one page.
I found this easy St. Patrick's printable
You can download her's or do what I did.

THANKFUL Bunting

A THANKFUL bunting.
I just needed to  print, cut, and string.
Print it on card stock and cut out.
I choose light grey (that's what I had).
My daughter Kim, who's visiting from Texas,
picked out the nubby yarn to go with her
decor. I punched two holes at the top.
DONE!
I found the printable at Bloom Designs.
This is an easy craft gift to pack in your
suitcase or send in the mail
 Nice for monograms too.
I liked how it looked on the living room sofa
table when I took the picture,
so now I'll need to make one for me too.
Day 18 ~Thankful for computers and printers,
and thankful Kim came for the weekend.

Thankful you're here too!
Cheers!

What's Your Sign?

This one is so true for me...
You'll always find homemade brownies
in my kitchen. Now I have a sign too.
Most of my kitchen signs hang here.
I space the eye hooks the same so they
are easily changed onto the cup hooks.
I wanted this sign to be very simple.
Plain block letter font traced onto
an old piece of pallet wood.
Brownies!
Not my only brownie sign.
I made a printable HERE.
Fresh baked brownies.
My daily treat...still warm.

Cheers!

Divine Providence
we mutually pledge to each other our lives,
our fortunes and our sacred honor.

I hope you all pursue some happiness on this Independence Day!

March Mug Shots and Printable

White and green botanical mugs are back
again for March. (Portmeirion)
An old tart pan that I've sprayed ivory is
being used as a tray for two old ball jars.
One jar holds foil packets of
Constant Comment tea bags.
The larger is filled with my homemade
granola. A small green trimmed Longaberger
 basket stores extra coffee filters.
The vintage green and white checked apron
is another one MAY-d by my MIL.
I found this March printable at
I painted an old 14x16 frame white.
download printable HERE.
