Spray Paint Brass Coffee Table Makeover

My living room brass coffee table was stuck in the 80's.
It definitely needed to be updated.
The brass table base was old.
It was spotted and pitted.
Spray paint to the rescue. Rust-Oleum metallic in
Oil Rubbed Bronze. A favorite in blogland.
I can see why. It's got a great finish.
For the cost of a couple of cans of spray paint, I have a new table.
I still have half a can leftover for another project.
In the bright sun you can see the metallic highlights.
 Back in the living room.
I like this so much better.
I MAY'd this simple change in just a few hours.
Instant gratification.
I like it!
Cheers!

  3. Oh my gosh, that turned out so great, Rita! I love doing projects like this especially when there is nothing wrong with the piece, it just needs a little updating. It looks great in the ORB! I have a couple of cans in my garage that I keep on hand for projects. {That and Heirloom White are my "go to" spray paints}.

  20. Nice! Did you by any chance rub it down with sand paper first?

    1. No I didn't, but it was old and did not have shellac. A little scuffing up with fine sandpaper couldn't hurt, but I don't think it's necessary.
