Small Picnic Basket

I've been playing with my small thrifty picnic basket that I found at the Delray Beach GW.
(See my thrifty finds HERE.)
I'm trying to find a cute place to use it.
A place where I'll see it everyday.
My sugar and flour glass canisters just fit inside, and it still fits under the cabinet with it's lid open.
Because , as you know, when you spend $1.91, you want to get your money's worth!

  1. Wonderful idea -- also keeps some of the mess off the counter.

  2. What a clever idea, useful & cute!

  3. That is a brilliant and cute idea!!! I was just thinking as I gathered up some of the bunnies.... what will I decorate next? I don't want to rush the patriotic because we have just a bit.... a picnic theme is cute... and spring fresh... I agree... that's just too expensive to waste! You are a savvy shopper I think... I have been making your cheese bread with the sour cream... I added Italian seasoning for a spaghetti casserole I took to a friend's house... I think I like the dill best, but it was a neat change...

  4. So cute. Ive always thought that picnic baskets were too good to stick in a cupboard. Thanks for the inspiration :-)

  5. Really cute idea...I don't have enuf room to display much on my counter
tops...Pretty much just have the things I use every day.
This looks really nice on your counter.

  6. Cute idea. I love the glass and wicker combo. I would love it if you would link this project up to my blog party, A Marvelous Mess....each week I pick one project to feature on my side bar!! Here is the link:

  7. Looks beautiful! I love the touch of the linen placemat draped over the basket lid.

  8. Oh, I like your idea! That's an awfully cute basket! I love your doily draped across!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  9. What a really unique way to display your canister jars! I am amazed that the purchase price was under two bucks! :-) Sue

  10. Love this idea Rita! I love your pic-nic basket hon...I have one and you just gave me a great idea to do! What a find too, those canister jars... you're wonderful! I'm at TTT, too.

  11. Very cute idea for using your sweet picnic basket. I also like how you have used your plate stand to hold counter goodies, too. Two great ideas!

  12. That is so that idea...have a great week....Picket

  13. Great basket and what a super idea. Love the lace doilly on the top. Such a pretty vignette for the kitchen. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
