NC Kitchen ~ Before & After

The kitchen began nice and new.
We did make a few changes.
It gives it more of a "cabbage" look.
We exchanged the cabinet hardware to a
metal twig design. We exchanged the black
appliances to stainless steel.
Changed the lighting and ceiling fan
to something a bit more rustic.
Antler motif to coordinate with the
 dining and living rooms.
The floors are slate.
We painted walls, hung pictures, added a
valance, baskets, pottery and a
few of our favorite things.
The new lighting and fan.
Swapped to a gas stove and we added the
new, more rustic stone back splash.
We painted the kitchen and adjoining
laundry room a rich gold color,
High Plateau by Behr.
The top of the fridge. My apple cobbler pan
hangs on the wall. I found it at a craft fair.
I always make my apple cobbler in it
when we are here.
Granite counters
Pottery from local crafts fairs and
of course, Longaberger baskets.
Colors pick up the gold tones.

  2. Looking good, like the paint color looks nice with the cabinets. I think your kitchen updo is going much faster than ours :-{. Have a great day.

  3. I really like all your changes! Beautiful!

  4. Looks beautiful, love the slate floor, and the Longaberger. xo

  5. Your cabbage is so pretty, just the right touches to give it a rustic feel. It is warm and inviting. Love your Longaberger baskets. I also collect Longaberger.

  6. It looks great and I especially LOVE THE SCREEN DOOR as well!!

  7. Oh how terribly cozy! How nice to have a vacation place you can retreat to, and sort of an alter "home dec" ego, where you can express another side of your talents.

  8. Such a beautiful transformation, love that color on the walls. The kitchen truly is the heart of the home.
