My project for today was to
I think I have some in storage bins in the garage.
While in the garage I spotted the 2 leftover pickets
from my table runner project.
~~~~~~~
I brought those in to see where I could use them.
Finally settled on just adding them to the
existing runner. Too obvious and too easy!
Back to cleaning the fridge.
A few of the white plastic baskets sort the cheese,
bacon, hot dogs, lunch meats in this drawer.
I noticed an unopened spray margarine
that I had bought to try.
I needed to go online to check the expiration code.
While online I needed to check a few "urgent" emails.
Baskets sort the vegetables in this bin.
Much easier to pull out and wash a basket.
How long does hummus last?
bzzzzzz! laundry rotation.
This drawer is too small for baskets.
Break for lunch, have a BLT, clean up after lunch.
Back to cleaning the fridge.
Bottom shelf gets a double turntable for
smaller least used items.
Leftovers are stored here too.
Makes everything easier to find.
It keeps things from getting lost in the back.
Small bins for butter and margarine.
Did you know that opened soy sauce needs to be stored in the fridge?
Did you know that milk should be stored in the
coldest part of your refrigerator?
Mine is now on the top shelf.
Do not store milk in the door.
I also like to use turntables.Makes everything easier to find.
Done!
Or so I thought, then I found these...
stackable wine racks.
A perfect fit for this narrow space.
Now I'm done!
Love, love, LOVE this post!! You are SO organized! I will look for those stackable wine racks!
ReplyDeleteI would never in a million years would have thought to use a turn table in the fridge! Thank you. I have major fridge organization woes.
ReplyDeleteCamille
Great tips...not sure if I will ever be that organized but I admire your abilities!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I LOVE your blue plates at the top of your blog! Love them so much, that I raided my collections of blue plates and displayed them on my wall. Only thing is, mine are miniatures. They are all handmade by a potter and hand painted and now I enjoy them even more. Just had to let you know that you have enriched my life!
Thanks for sharing!
My goodness, you certainly are well organized! Wish I could say the same about myself but it's not true. I just found your blog today while looking around. I will check back to see what else you are doing. Have a great week.
I always seem to be doing three things at once! You have no idea how hard it is to cope in the UK with an 'under the counter' fridge with less than half the space of yours....I'm green with envy - and maybe a little past my expiry date! LOL.
ReplyDeleteThis made me LOL cause it is kinda how my day is going too!!!!I love the idea of the bins and turn tables in the fridge!!! Thanks! I use the turntables in the pantry so nothing getys stuck in the back and also in my spice cabinet. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteOh gee, I really wish you didn't post this...now my fridge looks so awful and in need of cleaning and sorting, and throwing out!! ;0)
ReplyDeleteGreat tips here! I just bought a brand new bottle of soy sauce and I have never kept soy sauce in the refrigerator. The bottle doesn't have any instructions on it to refrigerate after opening either. Anyways, I put it in the refrigerator until I can research it on line. Our last bottle sat in our pantry for years and it didn't kill us. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove this post! I use turntables everywhere too...closets, bathroom, kitchen, craft room, office - but never the fridge. Now I'm wondering, "why not?" And I especially love that once you found the stackable wine bottles, those pesky water bottles got preempted! :)
ReplyDeleteAmazed at your frig! I am going to need to share this post with Tony...he is all about keeping the frig neat and clean! My guess is he uses your bin and turn table idea! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWendy
Love seeing all of your organizational skills. I'm so glad you can't see my fridge! :) Love the use of the little baskets and the turn around thingy! You're good.
ReplyDeletebe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love this post! It's for sure that I would NEVER get my fridge cleaned out without lots of stops for other activities!
ReplyDeleteMy refrigerator has never been very clean, but it has lately become a nightmare. I love your idea of using small plastic baskets to keep like items together. Thank you for the inspiration!
Wow, now I feel this sudden urge to clean my fridge . . . I'm hoping the urge will pass as I type! LOL!!! love the idea of using a turntable, I'm so stealing that idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great tips!
Mary
Good organizing
ReplyDeleteOk, so do you make house calls? My frig could sure use you! Who would have thought to use baskets and turntables in the frig! Well, I guess you! What great ideas! Now I just need to get to throwing out and organizing! Well,
ReplyDeletemaybe tomorrow!
Rebecca
Oh, you are so smart! I would have never thought to use a lazy susan or baskets in my fridge. Very smart idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking it up to Home Sweet Home!
