I like both.....
soda crates, that is.
I found these old wooden soda crates
for $4 each at a NC flea market.

The red Coke crate is open and the yellow
and blue Pepsi crate has sections.

I can think of lots of ways to use them.
No Lucy, we are not making one into a
doggie bed. Lucy thinks everything would
make a cute doggie bed.

The red Coke crate was my patio centerpiece
at Christmas. I filled it with tree clippings,
a few pinecones and 2 oil lamps.
The evergreen clippings have been removed
and more pinecones have been added.
I'll use it for January and February.
Then use the yellow and blue Pepsi
crate for Spring.
And there's always that doggie bed idea.
Cheers!

ReplyDeleteCrates are so versatile! I have a coke 'wagon' that I use many different ways...
ReplyDeleteThank you for replying to my question. I'm on a mission!
Blessings...Betty
Love Pepsi products but both crates make great accessories.
ReplyDeleteLucy looks might cute there.
We always had a case of coke in the red wooden box sitting in the garage. We were only allowed to have 1 a week of the 6 1/2 oz cokes, and sometimes we'd have to split that between the 5 of us:) Good memories! Containers used to be so much cuter, didn't they?
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful find, and a great price. Lucy does look good in "her" crate...
ReplyDeleteI love how you've used the coke crate. Great ideas!

Rita, I love those crates. It is so hard to find those these days. Fun things.

Very nice!! I have a Dr Pepper crate so I just may 'borrow' your idea with the pinecones and lanterns!
ReplyDeleteThey are both fabulous crates, and I love the vignettes you create in them. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI sure wish I could out something outside in the winter! Your crates are great. Love how you are using them. XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet pics! lovely style and super cute pup! ox
ReplyDeleteYou got a steal on those crates. Wow! I have a small Coke crate and find it so useful.
ReplyDeleteCOKE. always COKE. Now, that said I love the crates. I have 2 in my kitchen. One has 24 little openings for the bottles. I use it to hold small tins of herbs and seasonings. The other one, also COKE, is the one that is divided into 4 quarters. I use it to hold larger things like the salt and pepper shakers, an oil bottle, and a flour container. Love the colors in the kitchen.
ReplyDeletePEPSI...or so my hubby says. I don't really see that much difference. Of course, that sweet little doggie would make anything look cute but that yellow crate really catches my eye.
ReplyDeletegreat find~
ReplyDeleteSo cute ! I like both! Great find!

Awesome! I have about 10 of those Pepsi crates that I got for free & couldn't decide what to do with them.. Think maybe i will use one as an herb garden on my patio table..
ReplyDeleteFun crates! All I have are some newfangled plastic Coke crates that the Coca Cola guy left behind. Nothing sentimental or artsy about that! :-( YOURS, on the other hand, are great! You've already thought of cool things to do with them, and I'm sure you will think of lots more!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a chuckle and a smile for this darling post is just precious. I do love the ideas of using the crates. You were lucky to find them in such good condition. The sweet puppy photo with her sitting in the crate is darling! I am going to show this to my husband for him to enjoy! Happy Tablescaping! Pam
ReplyDeleteI have a corner cabinet with one large turntable in it. Seeing yours so organized gave me an idea to move all my bottled oils(vegetable and olive oil)Pam products, vinegars and cupcake liners(Oh, my gosh, I don't know where all these came from!)to that turntable. It gives me more space in the pantry which has pull out drawers. Now to pull everything out of them and reorganize them and label each shelf. That's another project for another day.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had fun!
