We always stop by to see the Chet, Telaryn,
and the grandkids, Taelyn and Logan, on our
trips home to Florida from North Carolina.
Their home is just outside of Atlanta.
I knew you'd want to see their home,
so this trip I remembered to take a
few quick shots with my iPad.
Today I'll show the kitchen area.
This is the 'keeping' room.
It's just off the kitchen
French doors lead to the backyard.
This is s sneak peek thru the other window.
I'll show their fabulous pool and yard later
this week, in Part 3.
Looking across the bar counter into the
kitchen. I realize now that I should have
taken more photos.
It was a spontaneous decision.
This stained glass window hangs in front
of the kitchen window.
You can barely see it in the previous photo.
The breakfast table is on the other side of
the counter. They've chosen great vibrant
paint colors. The color in the kitchen and
keeping room is Terra Cotta Pot by Ralph Lauren
A closer look at the wine rack on the wall.
Chet and Telaryn are great cooks.
I love to watch them cook as I sit at the
kitchen bar counter and visit.
We were treated to an early Thanksgiving.
Good thing too because I start craving a
Thanksgiving turkey dinner in October
and theirs was delicious!
Perfectly moist turkey, homemade stuffing,
and the best gravy! Of course there was
apple and pumpkin pie too.
We had baked brie as an appetizer.
Telaryn added wonderful strawberry
preserves and chopped pecans.
Here, I saved you a piece....
well I'll post the recipe on Rita's Recipes.
Next post I'll show some more of the house
and then it's outside for a yard to
FALL in love with!
Cheers!

What a lovely warm and welcoming home! I'm a little late to the party, and missed introductions - is this your son and D-I-L or daughter and S-I-L? (I'm guessing the latter, as it appears the decorating and entertaining apples have not fallen far from the tree. What a lovely visit it must have been. I want to try the baked Brie.
