The breakfast table needed a 'change
of clothes' for Fall. I knew I wanted to
use the red willow dishes.
of clothes' for Fall. I knew I wanted to
use the red willow dishes.
I started with the wood board you
saw in THIS post.
I love using my tea set for the centerpiece.
I added a wine basket lined with a fall
fabric wine tote. The bottle top has a
wine pour spout that's also an
aerator. I found it at Walmart.
I knew I wanted to use the rattan chargers.
I'll use the red striped napkins and the
fruit painted napkin rings.
There were a few things on which I couldn't
decide. Should I use red plaid flannel placemats ?
Or should I use the straw with the red fabric
edge? Should I use the small tin trays?
I could also add a white plate to lighten it up
and make it look less wintery.
I wanted to use the apple and pear
salt and pepper set on the board.
But, I could also put them in a small
Longaberger basket. It goes with the wine
basket at the other end of the board.
Or I could put them on one of the painted trays.
Or keep them on the place settings for
a bread and butter plate.
Or just stack them on the end of the board.
I found these vintage trays in a North Carolina
thrift store. I think they are little
snack trays to be used when playing bridge.
Battery operated mini lamps have red striped
shades that I found thrifting years ago.
Apple and pear painted Dollar Store
wine glasses. Mini jam jars look cute and
when they are empty, I will use them
for a quick project.
Decided on this version for now.
A little bit of apple red for September.
In the mood for more apples?
How about Apple Cobbler? It will make your
house smell wonderful!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely crazy, about those plaid place mats!! Your entire table is beautiful and I really do not think it would matter, which placemats you used! Darling salt and pepper shakers and stemware - everything is just perfect and I cannot wait to try that cobbler recipe!
ReplyDeleteLove the tablescape. The red dishes are so pretty and everything goes so well together. Either place mat looks good. Red is my favorite color and have it in almost every room in the house.
