Gone Thrifting!

My favorite Ft. Lauderdale thrift store was
having another sale. Here's my latest haul. 

 I was on a mission to find white mugs for 

a craft project.

 Find I did! I picked up 18...
just to be on the safe side.

All the mugs were 25 cents that day.

I also found a set of 4 red covered bridge

mugs that I thought would be great for Fall.

They are from England and now live in

Florida with me. 25 cents. 

 I also found 4 very cute Valentine's mugs.

I'm planning ahead.

 I found a small covered casserole and an

 ironstone pitcher.

I love the original Corningware. 

 Three vintage boudoir lamps.
I'll use the 25 cent lace valance at Christmas.
...Planning ahead.

The silk lampshade was

soaking in a bucket of soapy water.

(it came out perfectly clean)

It has a class chimney and the rim
has tiny holes for crystal drops
 (that unfortunately were missing).
I'll find something to replace them. 

 A clay wine chiller, a silver Oneida leaf
shape platter, a copper gratin dish with
riveted brass handles that I've seen on the
internet selling for over $200
All look great after a little cleaning.

 I love finding hand crocheted potholders.
These were in perfect condition for 25 cents.

 These were double thickness. I'll put them
 in my 'green' storage container

 for St. Patrick's Day.

And what would a trip to the thrift store be

 without finding crocheted afghans?

There were lots....but I only picked up 3.

for $3-$4 each.

 Spring~Easter

 Pink and burgundy.

 Red~White~Blue for the 4th of July!

 A great vintage buffet that is just asking to
 be chalk painted. The top drawer is divided
and there are shelves behind the side doors.

 It was only $39.

Wood crib (ends and side rails) was FREE. 

Future project.

All this for around $90 and going to a worthy 

charity too.  It's a win~win!
