Christmas Pinecones

In Kim's entry I added a simple stair treatment with large pinecones. I found these (again) at a Florida road stop on our trip to Texas.
 One on each edge.
Pinecones....love 'em! Even Kim said that it wouldn't be Christmas without pinecones!
I added a small votive candle to each ledge.
Candles and Pinecones both Christmas must-haves.
The entry table. In the mirror you can see a reflection of Michael and Kristina as little children from a Christmas past.
Cheers!

  2. Oh, I love this look! The pinecones' shape echoes the railing embellishment perfectly! And adding the votives really makes a difference. I need to remember this idea -- no stairs in my current house.

  6. Very pretty! Did you bake or freeze them to get rid of the critters? I read on someone's blog they used pine cones and forgot to do it. The warmth of the house made whatever, hatch! Unexpected guests!
