Four Poster Bathtub Project

I really wanted a romantic four poster bathtub
in our master bathroom. I enjoy a bubble
bath every night before bed and would love
seeing the charm of wood, bead board and
 sheer tie-back panels.
So, when we needed to replace our tub.
"We" (and by "we" I mean Larry) built
 a new tub surround.
"We" Installed bead board panel inserts,
trimmed with molding, and then added the
beams and header to the top. We used
tumbled marble tiles on the deck.
"We" painted and then I glazed the wood to
match the cabinets. I added the sheer
panels to the wood closet poles installed
 inside the header apron.
 Candles, bubble bath decanted into
pretty bottles.  I use empty Patron and
other tequila bottles and it's finished.
The tub is in the middle of the room.
The his and her vanities/sinks are on each side.
The view as you walk into the bathroom.
There are fiber optic lights too.
Multi speed air jets for the whirlpool.
On low it feels like champaign bubbles.
The lights change colors.
It's a great relaxing end to the day.
A night time ritual we both enjoy
(and by "we" I mean we )
See the before bathtub HERE.

  15. This is the first 4 poster bathtub I've ever seen. It's fabulous. In our house we have the same royal we although we usually means me. I don't mind, that means it's easier to have my job done to my specs.
