Blogging On The Porch & A Peek Inside

Visiting daughter Vicky and her family in New Jersey. They have a big front porch, which I love. Give me a pot of tea, a book or my laptop and a beautiful day and you'll find me there.

Now, here's a peek at the living room.
 Before: colors
After: The walls painted blue and a little rearranging.
Before: Built in bookshelves. I liked these so much that Larry built some for our hallway in Florida.
After: The bookshelves were painted a very dark, almost black, green. They now make the room look so much richer. The ceiling was painted a creamy yellow.
I love how they turned out.
Floor to ceiling, filling the entire wall.
A gallery of family photos pop against a red wall in the entry hall.

All the bold colors from the exterior (see previous post) continue inside. Vicky's house is one block from
her downtown area. It's an easy walk to the train station, restaurants, shops, movie theatre, and library. Everything is close by.

Tomorrow we are taking the train into NYC. You're invited!

Cheers!
Rita

  15. A very good transformation -- love the dark bookshelves especially -- there is nothing like a wall of bookshelves to make a house look like a home!
