How To Store Your Rope, Cording, String, and Twine

First, get it out of your garage. Rescue it from the garage jungle and bring it inside. Store it in baskets or bowls. It's out of the way, it's kept handy and it's decorative and it's no cost.
This is a corner in my dining room.
Really, just grabbed whatever I found in the garage.
Some salvaged cording. You could use anything.
I wrapped most of them around tennis balls. With my assistants!
Then I decided to get "fancy" and replicate the knots you see in Pottery Barn and in magazines. These knots are called monkey's fist. I Googled and found directions on several sites like How to tie a Monkey's Fist.
I tied a few to get the "muscle memory". I've seen smaller ones used in tassels. So, go ahead, tie one on!

  3. Hi again, Rita! I've been trying to comment on your Mango post, but can't get the comment window to show. Anyway, wanted to tell you how envious I am that you have a Mango tree. We LOVE Mangos! I have to buy them in bulk at Costco. I love making Mango salsas - sometimes adding pineapple or avocado. But I never even thought of Mango bread! Will definitely try that out. Again, thanks for sharing!
