Here's what I found for $21.
The annual Fall Community Yard Sale
in neighboring Cooper City was Saturday.
It was just after Hurricane Matthew had
missed most of south Florida so everybody
was happy to be out again.
New hurricane oil lamps---how appropriate.
New wine glasses- replacing the occasional
broken ones
Spice rack turntable with 20 spice jars-
they will get new printable
labels and transform my spice
cabinet into a thing of beauty.
The turntable went into the bottom rack
of the dishwasher. It came out shiny clean.
The spice jars and lids went on the top rack.
Ditto clean.
The vintage camelback trunk had a rotted
bottom. We found a piece of plywood
(it was saved from the back panel of a TV
cabinet and finally found a use...yeah!),
and used that to replace the bottom.
It will be a great storage trunk.
Sofie approved.
Before and after.
Sofie also thinks I should cover up a
few of the nicks on the front.
Before and after a little touch-up
with a black Sharpie.
Before and after.
I washed it, vacuumed the inside, then I
used a little mineral oil over the outside.
The 2 red and white pillows are Solarium
and will go on the patio couches.
Here's the list of finds.
1 vintage camelback trunk-$7
1 spice jar turntable w/ 20 jars- $4
2 Sunbrella outdoor pillows- $2
2 new glass hurricane oil lamps-$3
1 wrought iron magazine rack- $3
4 new tall wine glasses-$2
GRAND TOTAL $21
Spending a beautiful fall day in the sunshine,
priceless.
Enjoy!
Amazing!!! Glad the hurricane missed you!!!
