Installing A Plate Rail In The Cabinet

I finally had Larry install a plate rail
in the back of my kitchen cabinet....
the cabinet I've taken the doors off to
see if I would like it that way.
The same cabinet that I've been changing
monthly....just for fun
Now I can safely lean a few plates across the
back without them falling over whenever
I take out too many dishes.
 Here's where we start.
It doesn't take much time or skill.
Luckily I found a strip of quarter round
in the garage. That gets painted white.
It gets glued down about 1" from the back.
Weigh it down with something until it dries.
 Viola!
I told you it was easy.
Don't worry about your plates fitting back in.
The curve of the plates clears the wood strip.
Now I can presto-chango the dishes
whenever the mood strikes.

Cheers!

  4. Are those Franciscan Denmark? I love that pattern. Alas all I own in it is two tiny sample plates. They look like doll dishes. Love all your great ideas.
