The next room to see in our North Carolina
getaway is the master bathroom.
It's small but has lots of storage.
The tall storage cabinet is very
handy right next to the sink.
Everything is easy to reach. I put a
large turntable on the bottom shelf
for toiletries.
Towels above and sheet sets below.
A large makeup drawer in the middle.
The light fixture above the mirror had a branch motif.
I used three folded napkins on a tension rod
for a quick valance on the small window.
The little stack of baskets hold soaps, Qtips,
cotton balls, and soaps. The lantern-style
night light and soap dispenser were found
at Walmart. Their oil rubbed bronze finish
matches the towel bars and hardware.
Cream and gold tones are the colors in
this bathroom.
A thrift shop wicker laundry basket.
My Canadian geese in the snow.
This is one of my favorite watercolors.
I love snow scenes. I also love the geese
and the old fence. But most of all I love that it
was one of the first gifts I got from Larry.
I had admired it at a fall art show.
I used an antique card file drawer to hold
extra washcloths and bottles of aftershave.
Cheers!
Rita, it looks great. I especially like the valance and antique card file.
ReplyDeleteRita, that's not a small bathroom, next to ours, its large! It looks so pretty and love the vintage window covering! Love the photo too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a luxurious bathroom. I think it is the simplicity and uniformity of the colors that make it peaceful and soothing. That's a good idea for a small space. I should take a lesson from you. (As I often do, after visiting your blog.)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home...love how you decorated it!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful and I love all of that fabulous storage and your accessories. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
