Organizing The Tupperware Storage Closet

Every month or so I have to reorganize the Tupperware/Storage container closet.
(neat) It starts out like this.
(willy-nilly) Then it ends up like this.
You see, someone in our household has a
willy-nilly approach to putting things in there.
So, when I can't stand looking at  all the disorganization,
I sort it out...again. (neat)
What's behind closed doors is not important to Mr. Willy-Nilly.
(neat)
Mr. Willy-Nilly and Mrs. Nit-Picky have to co-exist in the same house.
(willy-nilly)
So, sometimes he puts things away, and sometimes I'll have to rearrange.
(Neat)
Lids in bowl                       Small containers in tote
This is the large storage closet I use for the food containers.
It's in the hallway across from the bookcases we built.
It just around the corner from the kitchen.
Behind closed doors.

Cheers!

It was so easy with this simple you tube tutorial  from Tressy

How To Grow A Sweet Potato Vine

Just put a sweet potato small end down into a jar with water.

Change the water every few days.
After about a week you'll see roots and sprouts.
It makes an interesting house plant.
It will soon develop several shoots.
In a few more weeks it should be nice and full.
I can then plant this outside.
Cheers!

Fresh Rosemary At The Table

I picked up this lovely full rosemary plant at the grocery store.
It's my fresh flower for the breakfast table this week.
I still have a few daisies left.
It all sits on a blue spatterware platter.
The blue willow cup and saucer are a thrift shop buy.
Everything sits on my picket fence runner.
Simple.

Cheers!

Light Switch

We finally replaced the coach lights by our garage.
Sometimes it just takes walking into Home Depot
and seeing three lights on clearance to get you motivated!
Before: Bad coach lights!
Luckily our over-grown hibiscus covered one of them.
 After: Good coach lights!
We needed three and got them for less than the original price for just one.
I even trimmed the hibiscus bush!
Cheers!

August Mug Shots & Muffins

The mugs I'm using for August have an oriental design in blue and yellow.
I bought them on super sale years ago when the Garden Ridge store near me closed.
They had matching dinner and salad plates too.
Spent less for these pretties than some people spend on disposables.
Paper napkins and coffee filters are kept handy in
Longaberger baskets with classic blue and white
fabric liners.
A blue pottery tea pot and creamer sit on a very old
bread board that was from my Mother's kitchen.
It's a fun cheerful pattern for summer.
 Change of heart
gets a birdhouse wood ornament for August.
My blackboard memo board hangs below the heart.
Of course there's a muffin-of-the-month!
These are Orange Sunshine Muffins.
A little treat for afternoon tea or coffee.
Cheers!
